F.A.Q. about Eyelash Extensions

How long do Eyelash Extensions apts take, and how long does it last?

It depends on the style of eyelash extension you're looking for! The more dramatic and the more lashes applied, the more time required. Classic new set: 1h 45min Classic half set: 1h 30min Classic mini touch up (1-2 weeks): 1h 15min Classic fill (2-4 weeks): 1h 30min Hybrid new set: 2h Hybrid mini touch up (1-2 weeks): 1h 15min Hybrid fill (2-4 weeks): 1h 30min Volume new set: 2h 30min Volume mini touch up (1-2 weeks): 1h 30min Volume fill (2-4 weeks): 2h Mega Volume new set: 3h Mega Volume mini touch up (1-2 weeks): 1h 45min Mega Volume fill (2-4 weeks): 2h Lash extensions last 3-4 weeks with proper care, as they will naturally shed with your natural lashes. Things that reduce the lifetime of lash extensions: - Oily skin, oil based products near the eyes (including oil based makeups/makeup removers) - Excess sweating/heat (hot yoga, swimming, etc.) - Excess friction or force on your lashes (picking/pulling lashes, sleeping on your face, facing the shower) - Not cleaning the lashes

What can I expect at my Eyelash Extension appointment?

When you arrive, you will discuss the desired look and style of your lashes with your lash specialist. Your lash specialist will assess your eye shape and the status of your natural lashes and make recommendations for lash health. After that, you lay down and that's it! Most of our clients take a nap, so please dress comfortably and bring a blanket. Your eyes will be closed for the entire procedure.

How do I prepare for my Eyelash Extension appointment?

Please come to the appointment without eye make up/mascara or be prepared to remove it on arrival. Do not wear contact lenses as the fumes from the eyelash extension glue may irritate them. If you have an eye infection or recent eye problem, you MUST wait at least 2 weeks (or more if your doctor recommends it) before booking your eyelash appointment.

Is there any aftercare or maintenance required for Eyelash Extensions?

Yes, absolutely! You cannot wet your lashes for the first 4h. After that, you must avoid oil based products around the eyes, avoid excess friction or force on your lashes (picking/pulling lashes, sleeping on your face, facing the shower). You should cleanse your lashes daily - we recommend our lash bubbles and a makeup brush to keep your lashes clean and fluffy! Excess sweating/heat (hot yoga, swimming, etc.) will reduce the lifetime of your lashes. Come in for fills within 4 weeks to keep your lashes looking full and fresh!

I'm pregnant, can I safely get Eyelash Extensions?

YES! However if you are very pregnant, you may find laying on your back for the full apt to be a bit difficult. We recommend bringing pillows/blankets you need to be comfortable doing so.
