Saline Tattoo Removal

Saline Tattoo Removal by Natalia.png

Saline Tattoo Removal is a safe form of tattoo removal that involves tattooing a sterile concentrated saline-based solution into the skin to push the pigment/ink back to the surface of the skin, effectively lightening the tattoo.

Benefits:

- Suitable for all skin types.

- Can target ALL pigment colors (where lasers may not).

- No risk of damage to hair follicles.

- Minimal pain during procedure, numbing cream is used.

We proudly use Li-FT, which is made in a licensed and inspected lab based in the USA. It is the only saline lightening solution to combine the power of 2 fruit seed extracts: orange seed & lemon seed.

  • How do I know if I'm a good candidate for SMP?
Whether you have thinning hair or have entire areas of complete hair loss, we can work with you to create the illusion of your desired density. The dotting technique in which we create the illusion of darkness or stubble can be utilized no matter what length you wear your hair, however if you have entire sections of complete hair loss, it will it recommended that you wear your hair very short so that your hair will blend more seamlessly with the tattoo. The miroblading technique is recommended for longer hair in the hairline only.
  • Who is NOT a good candidate for SMP?
If your hair is predominantly white or very light blonde, we do not have a pigment that is light enough to appear "white". We can still however use a light grey tone to create the illusion of pale stubble. If you like to wear your hair long, but treatment area has no hair, the final effect will not be seamless. Hair transplants are the better option in this case. If you are taking Accutane (for acne), you must wait at least 1 year after you finish treatment before you can book any tattoo service. If you have any other health conditions that prevent you from safely receiving a tattoo.
  • How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions will depend on the size of the area to be tattooed, and the target density. On average, at least 2-3 sessions (of 2.5 hours each) are usually recommended, however for large areas of complete hair loss, then it will be closer to 4-5 sessions.
  • Is there any downtime? What's the healing like?
There is no downtime in terms of appearance, however, for 7-10 days after your SMP treatment, you cannot sweat heavily, swim, use steam rooms/saunas, wear anything too tight on the scalp that may rub on the treatment area, or expose the treated area to sun/UV. Immediately after each session, there will be some redness on the scalp, which will subside within a day or so. There is usually almost no swelling. You will need to keep the area clean and moisturized with the provided aftercare cream. Your scalp may peel a bit, similar to dry skin for 3-4 days - no scratching or shaving your head during this time!
  • How long does it last? Do I need touchups down the road?
SMP lasts anywhere from 3-5 years and will require touchups when it fades to keep the color fresh. Your skin and lifestyle are the major factors which will affect how the pigment holds in the skin. If you are very oily, sweat heavily, worship the sun, or use wrinkle/acne/brightening products on your scalp, it will fade faster. Typically the touch up sessions required are fewer than the initial number of sessions required, so the cost will be lower to reflect that.
